Final Exams
The final exam in each course will be comprehensive and will count 20% of the final grade for each semester. For courses which the state Department of Education requires a Georgia Milestone (EOC), the EOC will replace the GCPS semester exam for the semester in which it is given and the score will be posted on the transcript.
All students, including seniors, must take final exams with the following exceptions: High school seniors who have an overall "A" average, 90% or greater, will be exempt from taking local semester examinations for the second semester except when Georgia Milestone EOC's are required, High school seniors who have an "A" average, 90% or greater, in a specific course may be exempt from taking a local second semester examination on a course by course basis.
